  Cruelty to Animals

An animal’s eyes have luminosity
A strange gleam of human
That sees the mystery of authority
So shame on those who treat him badly
Who cause his spirits to rack with pain?
On poor dumb animals that can’t complain
But see the big tear stand in his eye
Torturing God’s creatures makes one cry
Pity will curse - no tears will be shed
For wicked brute who is damned and dead!
