  Youth

When we were young and in our prime
With no thoughts of passing time
The romance of our very first kiss
Thought our hearts would burst with bliss
All hours of the day thinking of our new love
The ardour waned and new loves on our mind
And this went on till our true love we find
The years roll by with many changes over time
While memories search for the years of our prime
A song triggers lost memories of life gone by
I close my eyes and drift along with a sigh
My happiness I treasure each and every day
But in my mind these memories forever will stay.
