  Mask

So we’re alive - spring’s in the air
And worry with the masks we wear
Smile pretend all is going well
With inner thoughts we dare not tell

We try to hide how we truly feel
A little shows we can’t conceal
Pride - while a heart is breaking there
Be a kinder world if hearts lay bare

So drop the mask for all to see
Try -let pain be just a memory
Masks have no purpose to reveal
If there’s no pain we need conceal
