  Winter Silence

Soft as velvet beautifully bright
Winter drapes her gown of white
The sun shines in slanting lines
Crystals adorn majestic pines

The air breathes hardly a sound
While sleeps flora under ground
They dream beneath drifting snow
Of warming sun to help them grow!
