  Wild Flowers

Please do not pluck me from my floor
My green buds are pointing skyward
Colour is wanting in this world
See my blazing face heed my word

With the heat of the summer sun
My seed grew pushed hard to flower
You are meant to view me as wild
Spilling my colour by the hour

When you reach to cut off my limbs,
You will be denying me my reign
So let me stand with grace erect
And let my flower bloom again!

Next spring my seeds will multiply
A wild flower glowing rebelliously free
My blossom will sway here brightening
Adorning my small flowered valley!
